Friends of Lincoln Square Park is pleased to announce our latest partnership with the Wa Sung Community Service Club, who has agreed to step up as a Fiscal Sponsor for our capital campaign project to build a new Lincoln Square Recreation Center.

For over 70 years as a non-profit organization, Wa Sung has promoted educational opportunities and community service. They are uniquely poised to support our campaign given their deep roots in the Oakland Chinatown community that spans multiple generations, their lasting legacy of service, and experience as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In particular, Wa Sung’s long history with Lincoln Square Park as founders and stewards of the junk boat playground, and hosts of the annual Easter Pancake Breakfast, makes them them a strong campaign partner as Friends of Lincoln Square Park ramps up our efforts to support the city in building a fabulous new recreation center that the Chinatown community truly deserves.

Wa Sung is very proud to be part of this community endeavor, an enriching hub offering so much for the people.
— Karen Dea, President, Wa Sung Community Service Club

We are grateful that the Wa Sung board and leadership approved our partnership and look forward to a successful and lasting relationship.
