Leave your legacy

We can do so much more with your help

By donating to the Lincoln Legacy Campaign you can support the park for generations to come and ensure that the park continues to be a welcoming, safe and joyful place where life long friendships and core memories are made. Your help will ensure:

  • The new center remains a vital community asset

  • The community is connected, informed and supported throughout the construction phase

  • Climate and community resilience programming is incorporated into park operations

For the past ten years, Friends of Lincoln Square Park has been raising funds from the community to support the new recreation center and resilience hub.

With the help of donors like you and our community and city partners, we have produced our popular annual Lincoln Summer Nights series. We have advocated for a larger center to meet the growing needs of the Oakland Chinatown neighborhood. We have helped the City secure over 34 million dollars to cover the construction costs of the new building. And we are building a more resilient community through emergency preparedness and climate resilience activities.

But more funds are still needed to support programming during construction and once our new center opens its doors.

Now that construction is underway, we have now set an ambitious goal of raising $2,000,000 over the next 3 years to support the park community during construction and create a lasting program endowment. Whether you’ve been following our progress over the last 30 years, or are just getting to know us, now is the time to donate and become a friend of Lincoln Square Park.
