Welcome, Little Manila Rising!

We made some new friends!

On August 21st, 2025, Friends of Lincoln Square Park, APEN, and the City of Oakland hosted representatives from Little Manila Rising and the Local Clean Energy Alliance for a site visit and tour. We were able to exchange information and stories and learn more about their efforts to build community resilience in Stockton. It was fun to connect with see how their inter-generational advocacy and resilience programming is supporting their community.

Little Manila Rising is converting a center in southwest Stockton into a resilience hub. The organization is creating emergency response and climate preparedness plans. They will host resiliency trainings, workshops and convene resilience collaborative meetings. The goal is to coordinate emergency response scenario plans.
