BayREN Forum features Lincoln Resilience Hub

Presentation at BayREN September forum

The City of Oakland was in good company, featured alongside Contra Costa County and the City of Santa Rosa at BayREN’s September member forum in San Francisco.

Nick Kordesch, Energy Program Manager for the City of Oakland shared the story of the Lincoln Square Park resilience hub with local government professionals.

The Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) is a coalition of the Bay Area’s nine counties — a network of local governments partnering to promote resource efficiency at the regional level, focusing on energy, water and greenhouse gas reduction. By working together, BayREN works to make the region greener and more resilient.

According to BayREN, this event, “underscored that resilience isn’t just about infrastructure — it’s about people, partnerships, and proactive planning. As communities across California adapt to a changing climate, gatherings like this help local governments stay informed, share knowledge, and plan for the future.”
