Recap: Groundbreaking Ceremony
We were thrilled to join Mayor Barbara Lee, Councilmember Charlene Wang, the City of Oakland’s project team, and our community partners as we celebrated our July 30th groundbreaking ceremony for the new Lincoln Square Recreation Center and Community Resilience Hub.
It was a beautiful day filled with joy and gratitude for everyone who helped the City get to this major milestone.

About the new center: This Oakland Public Works Capital Improvement Program project will include construction of a new two story 22,221 square feet recreation center and park improvements located at Lincoln Square Park in Oakland Chinatown. The new center will feature four multi-purpose classrooms/activity spaces, kitchen, office spaces, gymnasium, stage area, elevator, restrooms, and rooftop garden on the 2nd floor.
Resilience features include: solar, battery storage, heat/cooling and more!
