Welcome, BayCAN!

We continue to make new friends as more people hear about our new recreation and resilience center in Oakland Chinatown.

On November 12th, 2025, Friends of Lincoln Square Park, APEN, and the City of Oakland hosted over forty members of the Bay Area Climate Adaptation Network (BayCAN) at Lincoln Square Park for a site visit and monthly meeting.

BayCAN is a collaborative network of local government staff and partnering organizations working to help the Bay Area region to respond effectively and equitably to the impacts of climate change. Members were inspired by our stories and eager to learn about the City of Oakland’s first municipal resilience hub.
