You go girl! 女孩加油! Thank you for showing our youth in Oakland Chinatown how to persevere and prevail!

Inspiring the future

For over 20 years, Lincoln Square Recreation Center’s youth have been walking the ten blocks from our park in Oakland Chinatown to the Oakland Ice Center to practice ice skating. Over 1,000 youth from Oakland Chinatown have been introduced to the ice and learned to skate through this program.

This is where Alysia Liu has also perfected her art. Congratulatory banners with her photos of all of her accomplishments hang prominently, inspiring the next generation to follow their dreams and find their joy on ice.

Alysa, a heartfelt Congratulations! Our kids can’t wait to meet you in person and see the newest banner hung up!

“Alysa, Congrats on all your accomplishments! Our youth look up to you whenever they hit the ice! We also thank Sharks Ice and the Oakland Ice Center Team for allowing our kids the opportunity to experience the joy of ice skating with current and future stars like Alysa.”
